Aisha Buhari withdraws case in opposition to detained scholar

The First Woman, Aisha Buhari, has withdrawn the case in opposition to the detained scholar of the Federal College, Dutse, Aminu Mohammed.

Aminu was arrested earlier this week by operatives of the Division of State Service (DSS) for trolling the primary girl in a collection of tweets on June 9.

He was arraigned on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Excessive Court docket on Tuesday and remanded in jail on the courtroom’s order.

The prosecution counsel, Fidelis Ogbogbe, confirmed the withdrawal of the case on the resumed listening to on the matter on Friday.

Ogbogbe, who cited Part 108 subsection 2(a) of the Administration of Legal Justice Act, advised Justice Yusuf Halilu that Mrs. Buhari determined to withdraw the case following the intervention of the people and teams, together with Amnesty Worldwide, the Nationwide Affiliation of Nigerian College students, and several other others.
